Hamster Kombat (HMSTR) unveils it’s 2024-2025 Roadmap for Nigerians.
The popular Telegram-based clicker game Hamster Kombat has unveiled a detailed roadmap for the rest of 2024 and into 2025, showcasing its ambitious plans to evolve into a full-fledged Web3 gaming platform.
Following the token launch on September 26th, excitement has built around the game’s future. To maintain user engagement, the team has revealed upcoming features such as integrating external payment systems, expanding the game’s ecosystem with new titles, and introducing non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as in-game assets.
As of now, Hamster Kombat has amassed more than 300 million users, with 239 million joining in the first 81 days of its release. However, only 131 million players are eligible for the highly anticipated airdrop, representing 43% of the total user base. The game has also enforced strict regulations, banning 2.3 million users for cheating.
Key Milestones on the Hamster Kombat Timeline:
- October: Launch of Season 2, along with an expanded game library and the inclusion of external payment channels to facilitate easier transactions.
- November: The release of a Progressive Web App (PWA) for iOS, Android, and PC will enhance accessibility. The first batch of third-party games within the Hamster Kombat ecosystem will also go live, and NFTs will be integrated as in-game assets.
- December: A dedicated advertising network will be introduced, enabling monetization opportunities for games within the ecosystem. This month will also see the introduction of clans, adding a layer of complexity to the game’s mechanics.
To ensure long-term engagement beyond the airdrop, the Hamster Kombat team is emphasizing value beyond financial gain. They aim to blend elements from both Web2 and Web3 gaming to offer a richer player experience. Notably, 11.25% of tokens distributed after Season 1 will be locked for 10 months, ensuring stability and promoting committed participation.
Looking ahead to 2025, the game plans to launch an NFT marketplace, host competitive clan championships, and roll out a second phase of its airdrop.
In December 2024, the development team also plans to introduce a token buyback and burn strategy, leveraging the advertising network to create token scarcity and reward loyal users. This approach is aimed at stabilizing token prices and fostering a sustainable in-game economy.
